This highly regarded weekend course is open to U.S. and International second-year ophthalmic residents only. The course is free of charge, but registration is required.

  • Friday, May 19
    Faculty only - dinner

  • Saturday, May 20 
    7:15 am - 5:15 pm, followed by dinner at 6:00 - 8:30 pm.
  • Sunday, May 21 
    7:30- 11:30 am

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this comprehensive Course, it is expected that the Residents will be able to:

  • Address preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management issues in cataract surgery
  • Learn and practice the technical skills of cataract surgery
  • Recognize and understand complications of cataract surgery
  • Understand phacoemulsification technology, instrumentation and lenses
