David A. Sullivan, PhD, was invited to participate on a panel to address the release of the conclusions and recommendations of the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society’s (TFOS) Dry Eye Workshop II (DEWS II) Report. The panel also includes Janine Clayton, MD, and Susan Vitale, PhD, MHS. The panel will be held at an Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR)-sponsored Congressional Briefing on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 12 noon to 1:15 PM in House Rayburn 2168 of Capitol Hill. AEVR has joined with TFOS to "re-formalize" the month of July as "Dry Eye Awareness Month," and the timing of release of the TFOS DEWS II Report (i.e. early June) enables it to be the focus of planned 2017 activities. The audience will consist primarily of Congressional staff that manage health-related issues. Dr. Sullivan is the Organizer of TFOS DEWS II.
