Massachusetts Eye and Ear expands to Malden

Boston, Mass. — Massachusetts Eye and Ear opened a new ophthalmology (eye care) practice at 578 Main Street in Malden, Mass., on March 6. Mass. Eye and Ear, Malden is the hospital’s 19th location designed to bring the expertise of Mass. Eye and Ear specialists to the surrounding greater Boston area.

The Malden location offers comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataract surgery and contact lenses, as well as eye plastics services. The practice office also plans to expand their services to include optometry, glaucoma and cornea services in the future. A full service optical shop is on the premises and the facility provides free and handicap accessible parking.

Michael Price, MD, will serve as Medical Director of the Malden location, where he will continue to see patients. Dr. Price, who brings more than 30 years of experience specializing in cataract surgery to Mass. Eye and Ear, has held a private practice at the existing location in Malden since 1995. Dr. Price completed medical school at McGill University, his residency in ophthalmology at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, and he obtained fellowship training at New York University and the University of Iowa. He has served as President of the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and was a Councilor of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is now a full-time member of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service at Mass. Eye and Ear.

Dr. Price will be joined by Nahyoung Grace Lee, MD, an eye plastic surgeon who treats conditions involving the eyelids including tumors, droopy eyelids and cosmetic issues. Dr. Lee also treats diseases of the eye socket including excessive tearing, orbital trauma and thyroid eye disease.
