James Chodosh, MD, MPH, received a NIH R01 in the amount of $1.7M over four years for his project, "Immunopathogenesis of Adenovirus Keratitis."

Tobias Elze, PhD, received a BrightFocus Award in the amount of $150,000 over two years for his project, "Computational Investigation of Glaucoma Progression."  

John Kempen, MD, MPH, MHS, PhD, received a NIH R21 award in the amount of $466,000 over two years for his project, "Incidence of remission and of cataract in ocular inflammatory disease."

Eli Peli, OD, MSc, received the 2017 Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center MA Acorn Innovation Award in the amount of $10,000 over three months for his project, “Fabrication and evaluation of high power mirror-based prism for the treatment of patients with hemianopia.” The MA Acorn Innovation Fund is intended to support the demonstration of the viability of a technology developed at a Massachusetts university.
