After earning her BA from Barnard College in 2010, Dr. Wang spent a year conducting research in neuroscience with Dr. Stephen Rayport on glutamate receptor expression in glutaminase deficient mouse models. She went on to pursue medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College, during which time she worked with Dr. Mark Rosenblatt on a clinical research project on the PROSE lens. She also completed an intensive clinical/translational research fellowship in 2012 and conducted a study on lacrimal system function in patients using the PROSE treatment for ocular diseases. She has presented her research at ARVO, and she was a winner of the ARVO Travel Grant in 2014. Her work has been published in journals such as Eye and Contact Lens, Cornea, and the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology.  She also served as the President of the Ophthalmology Interest Group at Weill Cornell before graduating with Honors in Research in 2015. She was the winner of the Edward Norton Prize in Ophthalmology, and the Harold G. Wolff Research Prize. She completed her transitional year internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
