## Outcome Measures for Ophthalmology

Mass. Eye and Ear continues to lead the way in developing outcome measures for ophthalmology. This includes:

- Publishing an annual Quality and Outcomes Report
- Developing patient-reported outcome measures for cataract procedures
- Participating in the IRIS Registry—the nation's first comprehensive eye disease and condition registry

## An Exciting New Era for Patients with IRDs

Since the 1970s, inherited retinal degenerations (IRDs) have been a key area of focus in the Harvard Department of Ophthalmology. Now, the Ocular Genomics Institute is leading the way in clinical research and new treatments for patients with IRDs.
