 Dr. Kevin Ma graduated *summa cum laude* with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University. He subsequently earned his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was inducted into the *Alpha Omega Alpha* Honor Society and recognized with the Samuel and Beatrice Leib Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology. During medical school, he worked in the laboratory of Dr. Donald Hood and received a National Institutes of Health-funded fellowship to investigate how optical coherence tomography imaging can be improved to better detect early glaucoma and identify disease progression.
