On January 23, Harvard Ophthalmology hosted the Residents’ Course at Mass Eye and Ear, focused on degeneration and regeneration in ophthalmology.

Nine ophthalmology residents presented research across topics ranging from hereditary optic neuropathies and gene therapy–associated uveitis to corneal degeneration and RPE and photoreceptor transplantation. The program also featured Jacque L. Duncan, MD, who presented the Harvard Visiting Professor lecture on high-resolution retinal imaging for retinal degeneration. Dr. Duncan is the Steven G. Kramer, MD, PhD, Endowed Chair and the Theresa M. and Wayne M. Caygill, MD, Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California San Francisco.

Thank you to Course Directors Rishi P. Singh, MD, Department Chair, and Lindsay K. Kozek, MD, PhD, Director of Resident Academics, along with Resident Coordinators Grace Baldwin, MD, and Andrew Griswold, MD, PhD.
