#  Sameen Meshkin, MD, Recognized with Awards for Research and Mentorship

Ryan (Sameen) Meshkin, MD, a PGY-4 resident, received the Best Paper Award and a 2025 Youth Ophthalmologists Grant at the FLORetina Conference in Florence, Italy, for his work on retinal detachment repair, under the mentorship of Nimesh (Nemo) Patel, MD. He also received the Vitreoretinal Surgery Foundation 2025 Research Award for his proposal on vitamin D and proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

In addition, Dr. Meshkin has been recognized for his teaching and mentorship with the Mass General Brigham 2025 Resident/Fellow as Teacher Award and the Real World Ophthalmology 2025 Extraordinary Mentorship Award.
