**[Scott Greenstein, MD](/scottgreenstein)** was quoted in an article for the *Huffington Post* about ways that certain ocular problems can be signs of underlying issues. For example, if the eyelids are unable to close, this may be a symptom of facial nerve paralysis, which can be a feature of Lyme Disease. Additionally, extreme dryness could be a sign of an autoimmune disease.
