**[Leo Kim, MD, PhD](/leokim)**, received a grant from the E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation for the Blind, Inc. in the amount of $80,000 over three years for his project studying *Runx1* in retinal neovascularization. He is working on this project in collaboration with [Joseph Arboleda-Velasquez, MD, PhD](/josepharboleda).
