#  Lois E. H. Smith Receives 2015 Heed-Gutman Award

[Lois E. H. Smith](/loissmith) ([Boston Children's Hospital](/childrenshospital)) received the 2015 Heed-Gutman Award from the Society of Heed Fellows at the [American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting](http://www.aao.org/annual-meeting) on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

The prestigious [Heed-Gutman Award](http://www.heed.org/society/award/) is given annually to a former Heed Fellow from the Society of Heed Fellows. Awardees have contributed to the field of ophthalmology through original discoveries and investigations which produced major advancements, and extraordinary and distinguished leadership service.
