 **[Martine Jager, MD, PhD](/martinejager)**, was promoted to [Professor of Ophthalmology at Leiden University](http://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/news/2016/02/their-first-time-in-the-procession) in the Netherlands on January 1, 2016. Her inaugural lecture will take place on April 25, 2016, at Leiden University.
