Ophthalmology Trainees Receive Heed Fellowships

Two current Mass Eye and Ear ophthalmology fellows and two recent graduates of the Harvard Ophthalmology Residency Program were awarded Heed Fellowships for AY2022-23. This postgraduate fellowship is one of the most prestigious honors for trainees who are pursuing academic careers in ophthalmic patient care, education, and research. Congratulations to:

  • Jacob Cox, MD, MPhil, a 2022 graduate of the Harvard Ophthalmology Residency Program now attending Cleveland Clinic for a Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship
  • Jose Davila, MD, a current Vitreoretinal Surgery fellow
  • Aaron Kaufman, MD, a current Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellow
  • Karen Wai, MD, a 2022 graduate of the Harvard Ophthalmology Residency Program now attending Stanford University/Byers Eye Institute for a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship
