 

#  Petr Baranov, MD, PhD, and Michael Young, PhD, Receive Vision Restoration Initiative Awards

 [Petr Baranov, MD, PhD](/petrbaranov), Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Scientist at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, and [Michael Young, PhD](/michaelyoung), Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Scientist at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, are recipients of the Gilbert Family Foundation 2022 Vision Restoration Initiative awards. These awards support the development of therapies to restore vision loss caused by neurofibromatosis type 1, a genetic condition that causes tumors to grow along the nerves.
