Tatiana Rosenblatt, MD

Ophthalmology Resident, Class of 2025

Dr. Tatiana Rosenblatt graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology with Honors and Distinction, as well as a minor in Modern Languages and Literatures (French and Spanish). As an undergraduate, she pursued an independent research project on the role of DNA glycosylases in repair of oxidative lesions during transcription. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Cap and Gown honor societies and received the Joshua Lederberg Award for Academic Excellence in Human Biology.

Dr. Rosenblatt went on to earn her MD from Stanford University School of Medicine, with scholarly concentrations in Clinical Research and Medical Education. In the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, she led a study that showed successful outcomes with the use of a simpler surgical technique for Ebstein’s anomaly repair, which expands surgeon capabilities and patient access to effective repair. In the Department of Ophthalmology, Byers Eye Institute, she conducted clinical research on retinal disease epidemiology and treatment outcomes, teleophthalmology for retinopathy of prematurity screening to expand patient access to diagnosis and care, and female representation in ophthalmology. She received a MedScholars Discovery Grant and Research Fellowship and was named an Honors Scholar in Medical Education. She collaborated with faculty and administrators to redesign the Stanford medical school curriculum, created an elective course for preclinical medical students, and taught medical courses for high school, undergraduate, and preclinical medical students. She also served as an interviewer for medical admissions.

Dr. Rosenblatt completed a Transitional Year Internship at Newton Wellesley Hospital as part of Harvard Ophthalmology’s four-year integrated residency program, where she was awarded “Intern of the Year” by the Department of Surgery. Her research has been published in numerous prominent peer-reviewed journals including Ophthalmology and American Journal of Ophthalmology, and she has presented at conferences such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Annual Meeting, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Scientific Symposium, and the Women in Ophthalmology Symposium.
