Career Plans: Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital/Mass Eye and Ear/Harvard Ophthalmology

As an undergraduate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Jenny Dohlman was selected as a Burchard Scholar. After graduating with her BS in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, with a minor in Literature, she studied novel drug-delivery systems with Daniel Kohane, MD, PhD, and Robert Langer, ScD, in the Laboratory for Biomaterials and Drug Delivery. While earning her MD from Yale School of Medicine, she was awarded a competitive Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research summer fellowship to continue this work, studying novel topical corneal anesthetic formulations. Her contributions have led to co-authored papers in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. She has an interest in the medical humanities, and her work has been accepted for publication in Annals of Internal Medicine.
