The Biennial Cornea Conference is the premier global anterior segment eye research conference and is designed to be a platform for presenting the current basic and clinical research in the field of cornea and ocular surface.  It will begin on Thursday evening with a Poster Session hosted by Boston University School of Medicine in the Hiebert Lounge.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Abstracts must be previously unpublished until October 14, 2017
  • An individual may be the first author of only one abstract; however, there is no limit for co-authors

Formatting your Abstract

Follow the 2017 ARVO Annual Meeting Abstract Policies and Procedures. In particular:

  • Authors: Include name and institutional affiliations of all authors. The first author should include an email address for correspondence.
  • Headings: Include four headings: Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • Word Limit: No more than 2,500 characters (including spaces and title)

September 1, 2017.  The recipient will be notified by September 22, 2017.

Eligibility Criteria

At the time of application, candidates should be either:  (1) a postdoctoral fellow engaged in cornea research,or (2) a junior faculty member (e.g., investigator, instructor, assistant professor) engaged in cornea research.

Submission Details

Eligible candidates should submit:  (1) a current CV, and (2) a short paragraph detailing how the knowledge gained at the 30th Biennial Cornea Conference will strengthen their research and/or research program.  Submissions should be sent to the Cornea Center of Excellence Program Coordinator, Erica Eaton.
