12th Annual Mass Eye and Ear Vitrectomy Course
for First-year Vitreoretinal Fellows

July 30-31, 2021 

The 12th Annual Vitrectomy Course will be held on Friday, July 30 to Saturday, July 31, 2021. The Course offers first-year retina fellows from across the U.S. an intensive and comprehensive introduction to vitreoretinal surgery, intended to insure the best preparation for their fellowship.  The course covers the theory and practice of vitreoretinal surgery, combining didactics, video, simulation lab, and wet lab under the direction of a group of eminent invited faculty in a setting with a low student-to-teacher ratio. The Course and meals are free, however registration is required. 

For the purposes of planning your travel, the preliminary course agenda is:

  • Friday, July 30
    11:30am - 6pm: Course Day 1
    6:30 - 8:30pm: Reception

  • Saturday, July 31
    7am - 5pm: Course Day 2
    6pm - 9:00pm: Course Dinner

Note: To participate in the Course, attendance is required from 11:30am on Friday, July 30 through 6:00pm on Saturday, July 31. Please plan your travel accordingly.
