This highly regarded weekend course is designed exclusively for second-year ophthalmology residents. Utilizing the latest surgical techniques and taught by leading experts in the field, it is an intensive, information-packed weekend that will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a highly capable cataract surgeon. Participation in the wet labs, lectures, and meals is complimentary, however registration is required and fills up fast.
At the completion of this Course, it is expected that the Residents will be able to:
• Address preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management issues in cataract surgery
• Perform the technical skills of cataract surgery
• Recognize and understand complications of cataract surgery
• Understand advances in phacoemulsification technology and appropriate use of instrumentation, and lenses.
