2023 Residents' Course
On February 9, Harvard Ophthalmology hosted its Residents’ Course at Mass Eye and Ear. The day-long event focused on the topic of ocular trauma and featured special alumni guests and former chief residents Yewlin E. Chee, MD, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington, and Peter B. Veldman, MD, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago.
Fourteen ophthalmology residents, with guidance from a faculty mentor, presented on a range of ocular trauma cases including traumatic hyphemia, cyclodialysis cleft, and first aid for eye blast trauma. Drs. Chee and Veldman presented the Harvard Visiting Professor in Ophthalmology Lecture and the Claes H. Dohlman Visiting Professor in Ophthalmology lecture, respectively, and acted as moderators.
