Reza Dana, MD, MSc, MPH, Honored with the Lindstrom Medal at ASCRS
Reza Dana, MD, MSc, MPH, the Claes H. Dohlman Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, received this award at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Annual Meeting last month. The Richard L. Lindstrom, MD medal and lecture was established in 2021 to recognize the exceptional contributions made by Dr. Lindstrom to the ASCRS and ophthalmology, and honors individuals who have made significant contributions in anterior segment surgery. Dr. Dana's award lecture focused on the co-regulation of the nervous and immune systems in the eye and how this cross-talk affects cornea diseases.
Dr. Dana also recently presented the inaugural Joseph Markoff, PhD, MD Endowed Lecture at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and the Plenary Lecture at the French Ophthalmological Society Meeting in Paris.
