Dr. Lindsey, Member of the Faculty of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, who serves as Vice Chair of Education and Residency Program Director at Harvard Ophthalmology, was selected to receive this year’s Straatsma’s Award for Excellence in Resident Education. The award was established through the generosity of AAO, the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO), and private funds to recognize and celebrate an outstanding Program Director in ophthalmology.
She will also receive this year's Women in Ophthalmology (WIO) Educators Award, which recognizes teachers who have consistently provided an exceptionally positive and rewarding experience to their medical students, residents, and fellows. The WIO Awards Reception will be held during the AAO Annual Meeting.
