Inas Aboobakar, MD, Recognized with David L. Epstein Clinician-Scientist Research Award

Inas Aboobakar, MD, Instructor in Ophthalmology at HMS, received this award from the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society at the American Glaucoma Society annual meeting last month. This award honors David L. Epstein, MD—one of the most influential leaders in glaucoma—and will provide Dr. Aboobakar with a $10,000 grant to support her research examining how glaucoma polygenic risk scores interact with social vulnerability indices to identify individuals at greatest disease risk.
