Maria Emfietzoglou, MD, a postdoctoral research fellow at Mass Eye and Ear, received a 2025 Vitreoretinal Surgery Foundation Research Award for her research on regulatory mechanisms of BEST1 in adult-onset vitelliform dystrophy, mentored by Demetrios Vavvas, MD, PhD.
