Hyunjoo Lee, MD, PhD, Honored with Norman Knight Leadership Award

Hyunjoo Lee, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at HMS, was recognized with the 2026 Norman Knight Leadership Development Award in Ophthalmology. Funded by the late Norman Knight, long-time philanthropist and Mass Eye and Ear supporter, it provides important financial support for promising junior faculty leaders. 

Since joining Mass Eye and Ear in 2023, Dr. Lee has become an integral member of the department, distinguished by her expertise in corneal disease, complex cataract and corneal surgery, and her commitment to education and mentorship. In addition to providing exceptional patient care and attracting regional referrals for complex recurrent corneal disease, Dr. Lee serves as Director of the Cornea Fellowship Program and is a dedicated teacher of medical students, residents, and fellows.
