Isaac Bleicher, MD, Named Thomas J. Madden Fellow

Isaac Bleicher, MD, a recently graduated vitreoretinal fellow at Mass Eye and Ear, received the 2025-2026 Thomas J. Madden Fellowship in Retina. This fellowship supports a clinical retina fellow, while honoring the legacy of the late Thomas J. Madden, who was instrumental in securing the successful outcome of patent-related litigation that resulted in the landmark judgment for Mass Eye and Ear against QLT, Inc. and Novartis. The award has enabled major advances in research and teaching and has supported new infrastructure and recruitment across the department.
