Vitrectomy Course Advances Surgical Training for Retina Fellows

The 16th Annual Vitrectomy Course was a tremendous success, bringing first-year retina fellows from across the country to Mass Eye and Ear for two days of immersive education and surgical training. Participants took part in hands-on wet and dry labs, surgical simulation, 3D video sessions, case discussions, and expert-led lectures designed to advance their vitreoretinal surgical skills.

A special thank you to course directors Jose Davila, MD; Matthew McKay, MD; John Miller, MD, Nimesh (Nemo) Patel, MD; and Elizabeth Rossin, MD, PhD, for organizing an outstanding program, and to the faculty, staff, and volunteers whose support made the course possible.
