ACRC/Macula 2019 a Success

Panel at ACRC Macula 2019The Atlantic Coast Retina Club (ACRC) Meeting and Macula 2019 Conference was held at Mass. Eye and Ear and the Seaport Hotel on January 10-12.

On January 10, the ACRC Meeting featured mystery case studies presented by residents and fellows. Held in the Meltzer Auditorium at Mass. Eye and Ear, the lively event was standing room only. Prizes were awarded for best trainee cases. 

On January 11, the meeting moved to the World Trade Center at the Seaport Hotel, where invited course faculty presented case studies to an audience of more than 300.  

On January 12, the Macula 2019 Conference featured an elite group of retina specialists from around the country focusing on current and future approaches to age-related macular degeneration therapy; advances in ocular imaging; experts perspectives on retinal vascular disease; tumors and uveitis; vitreoretinal surgery; and new therapies.  

Exhibitors were on hand to showcase their work. Social functions in various locations provided an opportunity to continue the discussions and mingle each evening. This three-day premier retina event was sponsored by Harvard Ophthalmology/Mass. Eye and Ear, Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston/Center for Eye Research & Education, and Tufts University School of Medicine/New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center.
