Benjamin Jastrzembski, MD, Voted Educator of the Year by UMass Residents

Dr. Benjamin JastrzembskiBenjamin Jastrzembski, MD,  Instructor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and an ophthalmologist at Boston Children's Hospital, received this award—which is chosen by the residents—during the UMass Residents' Day on June 25. When voting for Dr. Jastrzembski, the residents shared that:

  • “He went above and beyond in both surgery and clinic and really has an excellent demeanor for teaching. He is friendly, patient, approachable, and knowledgeable."
  • "He is an enthusiastic teacher who consistently takes extra time during busy clinics where he discusses important and challenging pediatric concepts with residents and loves to share his own experiences and cases.”
  • “In the operating room, his extra efforts to ensure resident success with every technical step are appreciated. He is fantastic to work with and we enjoy the time he spends here at UMass with our team.”
