Boston Children's Hospital Lauded for Virtual Visits

The Boston Children’s Hospital Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator (IDHA) team recently received the “Best in Virtual Visits” award from AVIA Health, a healthcare management organization. The hospital held the highest percentage of ambulatory visits conducted virtually, both for primary and specialty care, and was recognized by AVIA for leading the industry in patient engagement and care optimization. Boston Children's Hospital's Department of Ophthalmology was an early adopter of telemedicine, having partnered with the IDHA team in 2016 to offer virtual visits.
