David G. Hunter, MD, PhDProfessor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at Boston Children's Hospital, presented the prestigious Costenbader Lecture last month at the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) annual meeting. This annual lectureship memorializes Dr. Frank D. Costenbader, who is credited with establishing the subspecialty of pediatric ophthalmology and was revered as a talented and dedicated mentor.

Dr. Hunter presented his lecture, "The story of retinal polarization scanning—from inspiration to commercialization," in a dynamic TED talk-style and was introduced by his colleague Ankoor S. Shah, MD, PhD.

In addition to David's lecture, 14 other faculty and trainees from Boston Children's Hospital presented at the event, including Linda R.
