Grayson Armstrong, MD, PhD, Recognized with Early Career Physician Leadership Award

Grayson ArmstrongGrayson Armstrong, MD, MPH, Instructor in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Ophthalmology Emergency Service at Mass Eye and Ear, received the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) Early Career Physician Leadership Award. Established in 2020, this award is presented annually to an early-career physician who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in organized medicine, patient advocacy and mentorship.

Dr. Armstrong is deeply committed to improving health policy and public health and is primarily focusing on issues affecting patients’ access to care. He has served on the executive committee of the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, on multiple MMS committees, and on the Board of Directors of the American Medical Association’s Political Action Committee. Dr. Armstrong was recently elected to serve on the American Medical Association’s Board of Trustees for a two-year term.
