Milica Margeta, MD, PhD, Named an Ophthalmology Scholar at Mass Eye and Ear

Milica Margeta, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, has been appointed an Ophthalmology Scholar at Mass Eye and Ear. A talented clinician scientist, Dr. Margeta specializes in the medical and surgical management of moderate and advanced glaucoma while working to develop novel neuroprotective strategies to treat the blinding disease. Her most recent research has helped us to better understand the role of the APOE gene in glaucoma protection and identify a promising treatment strategy.
