Milica Margeta, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, is a 2022 recipient of an Alcon Research Institute Young Investigator Grant Award. These awards are given annually to encourage and promote the early career development of clinicians and scientists in vision research and ophthalmology. Dr. Margeta, a clinician scientist interested in developing novel neuroprotective strategies in glaucoma, will receive $75,000 in funding to support her project, “Mechanisms of microglial cytotoxicity in glaucoma."
