Patricia D'Amore PhD, MBA, to Receive Gabor Kaley Memorial Lectureship Award
The award, named in honor of physiologist Gabor Kaley, PhD, recognizes an outstanding contributor to the field of microcirculatory physiology and pathophysiology who is noted for the quality of his/her research and who has demonstrated commitment to the development and training of junior scientists.
An internationally recognized expert in vascular growth and development, Dr. D'Amore's passionate pursuit of finding cures for blinding retinal diseases is matched only by her long-standing commitment to training the next generation of researchers. Many of her trainees have gone on to become leading experts in the field, including several who are now full Professors at top academic institutions or Senior Scientists at leading biotechnology companies.
