Reza Dana, MD, MSc, MPH, to Give ASCRS Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, Lecture

The Lindstrom Lecture was established in 2021 to recognize the exceptional contributions made by Dr. Lindstrom to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and ophthalmology, and honors individuals who have made significant contributions in anterior segment surgery. Dr. Dana's lecture, held later this month at the ASCRS Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, will focus on the co-regulation of the nervous and immune systems in the eye and how this cross-talk affects cornea diseases.

An exceptional clinician scientist and Director of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service at Mass Eye and Ear, Dr. Dana is internationally recognized for his expertise in corneal disorders and ocular inflammation. His many contributions have transformed the management of ocular immunoinflammatory disorders and led to the first topical biologic therapies for corneal diseases and other first-in-human investigations in corneal transplantation and ocular surface disease.
