Submissions Open for 2019 Gragoudas Prize

Evangelos Gragoudas, MD, will once again offer an award for outstanding work in retina published by a Mass. Eye and Ear Trainee. For 2019, there will again be two $5,000 prizes, one for clinical work and one for basic or translational.  

Competition Rules

  • You must be a current resident, clinical fellow, or research fellow at Mass. Eye and Ear or Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass. Eye and Ear
  • The research must be related to retina or retinal disease
  • The paper must either be in press or have been published during Academic Year 2018-2019
  • You must be first author or an equal co-author
  • You may submit more than one paper

Submit Your Paper by May 31

Email a PDF copy of your paper to Jennifer Colombo. You can also submit your paper in print (hard copy) to the Ophthalmic Education Office at Mass. Eye and Ear. 

All submissions will be acknowledged within two business days. 

The selection committee (Dean Eliott, MD; Dr. Gragoudas; and Lucia Sobrin, MD, MPH) will review all submissions and select the winning papers. Dr. Gragoudas will present the awards at the Clinical Trainee Graduation Ceremony on June 20.
