Neal Patel, MD
Dr. Neal Patel grew up in Rockland County, New York and graduated summa cum laude from Pennsylvania State University’s Premedical-Medical (BS/MD) Program. He went on to earn his MD from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he also graduated summa cum laude. As a medical student, he served as President of the School’s Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and was recognized with the Carroll R. Mullen Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology. He worked with the Glaucoma Research Center at Wills Eye Hospital where his research interests included investigating surgical implants for the treatment of glaucoma as well as strategies to improve access to eye care for underserved populations in Philadelphia, including both adults and school-age children. He has published articles in several journals, including the Journal of Ophthalmology, the Journal of Glaucoma, and Orbit.
