Alex Bowers, PhD,Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, had a scientific abstract selected by the American Academy of Optometry as one of the top-10 most newsworthy from the 719 scientific abstracts submitted to this year's annual meeting in Chicago. Alex presented her abstract, "The effects of age and cognitive distraction on peripheral detection at intersections," at a press conference held during the meeting.
