- Spell out locations and affiliations and avoid internal acronyms (example: Brigham and Women's Hospital as opposed to BWH; Mass. Eye and Ear as opposed to MEEI, Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass. Eye and Ear as opposed to SERI or Schepens, etc.)
- Do not use the word "Infirmary" (example: Mass. Eye and Ear as opposed to Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary
