A huge thank you to the National Eye Institute (NEI) of the National Institutes of Health, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018!
The NEI has strongly supported Ophthalmology research programs at Mass. Eye and Ear/Harvard Ophthalmology over the years and we are grateful for its ongoing support. Earlier this year, Dr. Joan Miller was interviewed by the NEI about her role in the NEI-funded development of a new treatment for AMD as part of a video series celebrating the 50th anniversary.

As part of a year of celebration, the NEI has scheduled a series of symposia in 2018 that will take place on the NIH campus:
