David G. Hunter, MD, PhD, Receives Robert P. Masland Jr., Teaching Award

David G. Hunter, MD, PhD, Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, was recognized with the Robert P. Masland, Jr. Teaching Award at the Harvard Medical School Daniel D. Federman Teaching Celebration. Awardees are nominated by medical students.

His nominator shared that “Dr. Hunter consistently creates a wonderful learning environment and provides consistent and thoughtful feedback on how students can improve; this allows one to really grow and evolve during the four weeks.” He also is a role model of “the care, empathy, and thoroughness required in clinical evaluations.”

Dr. Hunter also recently celebrated his 20th anniversary as Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at Boston Children's Hospital.
