The Harvard Ophthalmology Residency Training Program, one of the best and most competitive ophthalmology training programs in the country, is expanding. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education has approved our request to permanently increase the size of each resident class from eight to nine. This increase will be reflected in our incoming PGY-1 class that begins next month.
Providing a world-class education for our residents is integral to Harvard Ophthalmology's mission. And as such, we are constantly striving to enhance our offerings to ensure that our trainees gain a broad clinical and surgical experience, first rate mentoring and unparalleled research experience. We are thrilled to be able to provide these training opportunities to a larger cadre of residents.
