Zhongxiao (Iris) Wang, MD, PhD, a postdoctoral research fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, recevied a $65,000 Pediatric Ophthalmology Career-Starter Grant from the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. With support from this award, Dr. Wang will work under the mentorship of Jing Chen, PhD, to investigation how the amino acid transporter SLC38A5 affects retinopathy of prematurity.
