In the latest issue of Eye Witness, we highlight our latest efforts on inclusion, diversity, and equity, including our EYE CAN program, a multi-tiered framework created by our IDE leaders that aims to increase diversity within our field by encouraging people of all ages to explore and learn about ophthalmology.

The EYE CAN Program, envisioned by Dr. Ankoor Shah and Dr. Alice Lorch, incorporates intiatives to diversify the pipeline of individuals interested in ophthalmology at every level of the professional development lifecycle from school-aged children to faculty leaders. Read more about the program.

Harvard Ophthalmology and Mass Eye and Ear were well represented at this year's Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology (ARVO). Faculty and trainees from across the department participated as course instructors, panelists, lecturers, and presenters, with several faculty and trainees receiving honors and awards. Read more.
